{"id":6335,"date":"2022-06-26T18:11:29","date_gmt":"2022-06-26T12:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=6335"},"modified":"2022-06-26T18:11:32","modified_gmt":"2022-06-26T12:41:32","slug":"new-world-record-set-on-bridgestone-battlax-sport-touring-t32-motorcycle-tyres-13-countries-in-under-24-hours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=6335","title":{"rendered":"<strong>New World Record set on Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 motorcycle tyres: 13 countries in under 24 hours<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Belgian professional rider and bike enthusiast Thierry Sarasyn was able to visit 13 countries in just 19 hours and 43 minutes.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Bridgestone\u2019s Battlax Sport Touring T32 tyres \u2013 which guarantee increased wear life as well as improved grip and wet performance \u2013 facilitated this unprecedented achievement.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pune :<\/strong>Belgian rider and bike enthusiast Thierry Sarasyn has broken on June 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0the world touring record,\u00a0 passing through an incredible 13 countries in just 19 hours and 43 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was helped on the way to beating the previous record of 11 countries by Bridgestone\u2019s Battlax Sport Touring T32 tyres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarasyn started at 4.16am in the Czech Republic and arrived in Arlon, Belgium, at 11.59pm. \u201cI still had four hours to get to Holland, which is not too hard from any point in Belgium,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut the goal was not to set a record that can never be beaten, just to beat the existing record. I knew I had it once I got to Luxemburg, but after that it was only 10km to get to Belgium. It seemed logical to add the 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;country to the list.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision not to attempt a 14<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;country was also due to safety. \u201cI felt I was getting tired. And being tired while riding in the dark is not safe. We put safety first during this travel. I was not riding too fast, took breaks at least every two hours and followed strict nutritional rules to keep my focus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The record was recorded using an official tracking system and Sarasyn could be followed throughout every moment of the attempt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his choice of using the Bridgestone Battlax Sport Touring T32 tyre to set this impressive world record, Sarasyn is clear: \u201cI knew there would be highways but also mountain roads. So I needed a versatile tyre. And I always loved the way the T32 front tyre handles and the feedback it gives. I had many challenges during the almost 1800km of this trip, but the tyres weren\u2019t one of them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These challenges included physical and mental fatigue, backpain, traffic problems, navigation failure and the excessive heat on the day. From 11am, the temperature remained above 35\u00baC, peaking at 39\u00baC in Austria and Liechtenstein. Even when Sarasyn finished in Arlon, the temperature was 35\u00baC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHydrating is key in keeping the focus. I drank a lot and I think it was one of the major elements in making this adventure successful,\u201d he said. \u201cThat \u2013 and a set of great tyres!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Battlax\u2019s next-generation sport touring tyres, the T32 and T32GT, are the result of technical expertise and technological applications that are at the forefront of tyre development.
