Pune:Witness versatile actor and singer Rahul Deshpande perform Ghazals for the very first time to enthrall the Pune audience on 15th April, at Liberty Square, Phoenix Marketcity. With his soulful voice, the acclaimed singer will be performing some of his and your favorite ghazals \u2013 Sitaron Se Ulajhta Jaa Raha Hu, Ranjish Hi Sahi, and many new original compositions for the 1st time ever. The event is organized by SwaraZankar- India\u2019s largest chain of music festivals, the concert will also see artist Vijay Ghate perform alongside Deshpande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rahul Deshpande is an Indian classical music singer from Pune, India. He is the grandson of the well-known late Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande of Patiala Gharana. Rahul developed his interest in vocal music by studying the music of Pandit Kumar Gandharva. He further learnt under the tutelage of Smt. Ushatai Chipalkatti and Pandit Mukul Shivputra. He also learned the table from Suresh Samant. His repertoire includes khayal, tap khayal, dhruvpad, thumri, kajri, hori, tappa, ghazal, abhanga, bhajan, natyasangeet and bhavgeet. Rahul has judged Zee Marathi\u2019s popular reality TV show “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Little Champs” and Zee Yuva\u2019s \u201cSangeet Samrat parva2\u201d. He was the playback singer for the songs of “Khansaheb Aftab Hussain Bareliwale”, played by Sachin Pilgaonkar in the film. The role was played by Rahul himself in the play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
