Pune (P&V News Service): City\u2019s Sahyadri Hospital was felicitated for participating in Stroke awareness campaign which had entered Guinness World Records for creating a new record of maximum\u00a0 pledges. The campaign was carried out in November 2021 during World Stroke Week and Sahyadri Hospitals with it’s two units Deccan Gymkhana and Nagar Road contributed the maximum in Pune with 234 pledges. The campaign is a part of efforts by Boehringer Ingelheim India towards improving the standard of care for stroke management. The felicitation ceremony was organized at Sahyadri Hospital Deccan in presence of officials from Boehringer Ingelheim India along with Dr Charudutt Apte, Chairman and Managing Director Sahyadri Hospitals Dr.Deepa Divekar, Pediatric Neurologist, senior neurologists Dr.Pradip Divate,\u00a0 Dr. Nasli Ichhaporia , Dr.Hemant Sant,\u00a0 Dr.Mangesh Udar, Dr. Suyog Doshi ,Dr.Aradhana Chouvhan,\u00a0 Dr. Mudassar kharadi, Neurologist and Epileptologist, Dr. Vikas Karne, Chief of Medical Services, Anaesthetist, Dr. Shubhangi Waykar, Manjusha Londhe, Unit Head and Dr. Ketan Apte, Vice President Sahyadri Hospitals.
The awareness pledge campaign was in the form of a survey where within a week of the campaign launch, 17,691 people participated in a survey to understand their risk of getting Stroke over the next 10 years, whilst pledging to be Stroke- aware and ready to help themselves and others, setting a new Guinness World Record.
