Pune (P&V News ervice): \u2018Star Endo Gyn\u2019 , the three day national conference of Pune Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society ( POGS ) was inaugurated today \u00a0at Dr. DY Patil Medical College, Pimpri \u00a0in presence of\u00a0 Chief Guest Dr. P.D Patil Chancellor Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth \u00a0and Dr Bhagyashree Patil Pro Chancellor , Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth , Guest of Honour Dr. N.J Pawar Vice Chancellor Dr. DY Patil Vidyapeeth \u00a0and Dr. Yashraj Patil Trustee and Treasurer Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth along with Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar , President POGS and Chairman Organizing Committee, organizing chairman Dr. Kiran Kurtakoti\u00a0 and Dr. Hemant Deshpande and organizing secretaries Dr. Vaishali Korde-Nayak, Dr. Meenu Agarwal , Dr. Meenal Patvekar , Dr. Chaitanya Ganpule and Dr. Nilesh Balkawade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference is focused on Endoscopy and Infertility, the theme being \u2018She-the Star\u2019 . The three day hybrid initiative includes direct relay of around sixty surgeries by sixty eight experts on a virtual platform and is also being relayed for surgeons present at the DY Patil Medical College Auditorium. The surgeries are being done free of cost . The conference also includes key note addresses, panel discussions and technical sessions virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, said that India is emerging as a giant in terms of quality and volume and has skilled professionals adapting to newer technologies. In early 90s laparoscopic procedures were limited to few centers around the world and hardly any in India, but today the proportion has been reversed . Today India is renowned worldwide for its outstanding endoscopic facilities and skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appreciating the efforts of POGS , Dr Bhagyashree Patil said that it is a moment of pride to host the conference with the theme \u2018She-the Star\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
