The Fair also provides information on student life in the UK, housing, as well as career prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Virtual Fair, prospective students will be able to consult with representatives of&nbsp;<strong>42&nbsp;UKuniversities<\/strong>,including&nbsp;<strong>12 prestigious Russell Group establishments<\/strong>.The Fair will alsoprovideattendees an interface with<strong>UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) officers,<\/strong>&nbsp;to clarify any doubts about the current process for obtaining a student visa. Officials will also conduct a session on post-study work opportunitiesand the&nbsp;<strong>Graduate Route,<\/strong>which allows UK graduates to work or look for work after their studies for a maximum period of twoyears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Barbara Wickham OBE, Director India, British Council, said,&nbsp;<\/strong>\u201c<em>O<\/em><em>ur Study UK Virtual Fairs provide the most up to date and reliable information for students, parents, counsellors and consultants, to support them in making informed decisions about education in the UK. The Fairs attract a multitude of students and parents every year and this year is no exception. We have seen an overwhelming response yet again and look forward to engaging with students<\/em><em>considering UK as their destination of choice for an education abroad<\/em><em>.<\/em><em>\u201d<\/em><em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UK continues to be one of the most coveted foreign education destinations for Indians with over&nbsp;<strong>56,000 Tier 4 study visasissued in the year ending March 2021<\/strong>, as per data by the UK Home Office, indicating a 13% rise over the previous year.
