PUNE: “The 6th edition of the Sustainable Bharat 2026 \u2013 Advanced Clean Energy Workshop was jointly organized by the Sustainability and Energy Practitioners Association (SEPA) and COEP Technological University. Through this workshop, industry experts, academicians, researchers, and energy practitioners came together to discuss technological advancements and solutions for India\u2019s clean energy transition.<\/p>\n
The workshop, held at the Kirloskar Auditorium of COEP’s Bhau Institute. The workshop places special emphasis on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including utility-scale and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) applications. Technical sessions and expert panel discussions will explore battery storage technologies, renewable energy integration, grid flexibility, project viability, safety, policy and emerging business.<\/p>\n
Chief Guest\u00a0 Mr.Arpit Sharma, CEO, Skill Council for Green Jobs,\u00a0 along Dr.RaguramArjunan, President, SEPA; Prof. Sunil\u00a0 Bhirud, Vice-Chancellor, COEP Technological University.Dr. RajaramUgale , HOD, Electrical Engineering Department\u00a0 , COEP Technological University, Aditya Ramalingam, Executive Council member at SEPA, Mr. Nikhil Manglori, Secretary, SEPA were present at the inauguration.<\/p>\n

Sustainable Bharat 2026 provides a platform for industry dialogue on emerging technologies, commercial opportunities and research priorities. The SEPA Students Council will further promote innovation, industry-academia collaboration and the development of future clean energy professionals,\u201d said Dr.RaguramArjunan, President, SEPA<\/p>\n
Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Vice-Chancellor, COEP Technological University, highlighted the importance of strengthening academia\u2013industry collaboration to address real-world challenges in clean energy and sustainability.<\/p>\n
SEPA also announced the launch of its Students Council in Pune to encourage student participation in research, training and industry engagement. The initiative aims to build technical skills and nurture talent for the clean energy sector.<\/p>\n
As the Knowledge Partner, COEP Technological University, Pune (Department of Electrical Engineering), is supporting the workshop by facilitating academia\u2013industry interactions and knowledge exchange in clean energy, renewable energy integration, battery energy storage, sustainable mobility and industrial decarbonisation.<\/p>\n
