Pune: Ishaara, the flagship restaurant of Bellona Hospitality, has launched a new purpose wall at its Viman Nagar outlet today, marking International Day of Sign Languages with a tribute to the people who shape its food and hospitality. Called \u201cHigher Purpose,\u201d the installation brings photographs, stories and moments from within Ishaara together in one space.<\/p>\n
The wall offers guests a glimpse of the team behind the brand and the role sign language plays in its everyday culture. At Ishaara, speech and hearing-impaired (SHI) professionals work across guest-facing and leadership roles. Simple signs on the menu invite diners to communicate with the team, while gestures and attentive service make connection part of the meal.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Higher Purpose\u2019 is about the people who bring Ishaara to life every day,\u201d said Prashant Issar, Founder of Ishaara and Managing Director of Bellona Hospitality. \u201cInclusion cannot live only in a statement of intent. It has to be felt in the opportunities we create for our team and in the warmth our guests experience at the table. This wall gives those stories a place to be seen and shared.\u201d<\/p>\n
The concept began as a project by students of MIT Institute of Design, who explored how Ishaara\u2019s purpose could be expressed within the restaurant. Ishaara has developed their idea into a permanent installation, taking it from a classroom presentation to a prominent space guests can experience.<\/p>\n
The wall was unveiled at 7 pm on 23 September 2026 at Ishaara, Phoenix Avenue of Stars, Viman Nagar, Pune. The Ishaara team was joined by the students who first imagined it, along with influencers and members of the media, to celebrate the people and stories that brought it to life.<\/p>\n
