Pune : A delegation of Jamaat-E-Islami Hind met activist Mr. Vidyanand Bapat, who has been leading a strong opposition against loud DJ music during festivals in Pune. The meeting was held to express solidarity with his cause and to understand the challenges he faces.<\/p>\n
During the conversation, the delegation observed that Mr. Bapat is himself facing social boycott for his stance against DJ music. The delegation noted that he is fighting for a good cause and lauded his courage and commitment.<\/p>\n
The Jamaat delegation presented a complete introduction of the organization and assured Mr. Bapat of legal assistance if needed.<\/p>\n
Mr. Bapat appreciated the efforts of Jamaat-E-Islami Hind Karnataka and another local Jamaat unit for submitting an application to the administration before the festival, requesting that DJ music be not played.<\/p>\n
