Established through a collaboration between NCERT, ZS and Robotex India, the Centre will bring hands-on learning in on Robotics, AI, IoT, Space Tech, Drone Tech, Gamification and Design Thinking and other emerging technologies to students and educators \u2014 a significant step in strengthening experiential, technology-enabled and future-ready learning in school education across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The event was also attended by Guest of Honour Shri Anand Rao Patil, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, and Guest of Honour Smt. Prachi Pandey, IAS, Joint Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education; Shri Chamu Krishna Shastry, Chairman, Bharatiya Bhasha Samiti, as Special Guest; and Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director, NCERT, along with senior officials and representatives from India&#8217;s education and technology ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, we have launched the Robotics Learning Centre, along with the Indian Language Book Scheme, a Translation Lab, and an upgraded, state-of-the-art television studio. These initiatives give tremendous strength to NCERT&#8217;s capabilities in technology-enabled learning, education in Indian languages, and the creation of high-quality educational content for our entire education system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon&#8217;ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India<\/p>\n<p>A Platform for Hands-On, Future-Ready Learning<\/p>\n<p>The Centre will give students and educators the opportunity to engage with emerging technologies through practical, experiential learning rather than classroom theory alone. A key attraction is Nova, an Interactive AI-Powered Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), which demonstrates real-world applications of robotics and AI in an educational setting. The Centre is designed to help learners build future-ready capabilities \u2014 computational thinking, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving \u2014 that go beyond conventional curricula, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 vision of experiential learning, innovation and the integration of technology into school education.<\/p>\n<p>Collaboration with ZS and Robotex India<\/p>\n<p>ZS and Robotex India are working with NCERT to develop future-skills content for DIKSHA and PM e-VIDYA, aligned with NEP 2020 and the NISHTHA teacher-training framework. As part of this collaboration:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Courses are being developed in STEM, on Robotics, AI, IoT, Space Tech, Drone Tech, Gamification and Design Thinking for Grades 6\u201312, with multilingual access, periodic curriculum updates and assessments oriented towards employability<\/p>\n<p>\u2022The Centre will serve as an experiential learning space at NCERT, mentoring students in robotics and emerging technologies and encouraging participation in hackathons, competitions and other innovation-driven learning initiatives<\/p>\n<p>\u2022The Centre will support teacher and student training across States, Union Territories and autonomous bodies, equipping educators and learners with hands-on exposure to Robotics, AI and other emerging technologies<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Robotics, IoT, AI, Gamification, Design Thinking and other technologies will be implemented in classroom learning, and the resulting innovations demonstrated by students and teachers at national and international hackathons<\/p>\n<p>Students Showcase Robotics Projects to the Minister<\/p>\n<p>A key highlight of the inauguration was the participation of government school students, who showcased their technology projects \u2014 on themes including Entrepreneurship, Girls Fire Fighting, Maze Solver and Line Follower robotics, explaining their working and real-world applications.
