Pune (Voice news service):- On the occasion of World Environment Day, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), hosted a community engagement program at the IONIQ Forest, in Dange Chowk, Pune, bringing together over 120 students, self-help groups and community members to celebrate nature and sustainability. The initiative featured various meaningful activities like Nature Trail \u2013 a guided walk that introduced native plantation methods, biodiversity and ecological impact; Interactive Sessions \u2013 to foster better understanding of the forest ecosystems and the role of urban forests in combating the Urban Heat Island Effect; Sustainable Living Practices \u2013 practical demonstrations on converting waste to compost for healthier soil; and Seed Ball Activity \u2013 hands\u2011on creation of seed balls with native seeds, empowering participants for afforesting their surroundings.<\/p>\n
Participants included students from Fergussons College, Haribhai V Desai College, Lakshmibai Barne High School, Prerna High School, Khivansara Patil High School and members of local women\u2019s self\u2011help groups.
