Pune: The Annual Awards Distribution Ceremony of the Pune City West Division was held with great enthusiasm on May 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Geology Auditorium, located within the Savitribai Phule Pune University campus.<\/p>\n
The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Priti Agarwal, Postmaster General (Pune Region), and Mr. Abhijeet Bansode, Director of Postal Services (Pune Region), who attended as the Chief Guests.<\/p>\n
The program commenced with a captivating Bharatanatyam performance by Ms. Anagha Bhumkar. Mr. Nitin Yeola, Superintendent of Post Offices (Pune City West Division), welcomed the Chief Guests and presented a detailed account of the Pune City West Division’s achievements over the past year.<\/p>\n
During this ceremony, officers and employees who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the year 2025\u20132026 were felicitated. Awards were presented to staff members and women savings agents who performed remarkably in the fields of business growth, PLI\/RPLI (Postal Life Insurance\/Rural Postal Life Insurance), Post Office Savings Bank operations, Postal logistics, and Customer service. Athletes working within the Pune City West Division were also honored with awards in recognition of their sporting achievements.<\/p>\n
Mr. Abhijeet Bansode, Director of Postal Services (Pune Region), extended his congratulations to the Pune City West Division team for securing seven prestigious awards at the Circle level. He also provided guidance on undertaking special initiatives to further boost Speed Post business. Furthermore, he expressed his expectation that all officers and employees of the Pune City West Division would strive to deliver even better performance in the future.<\/p>\n
In her presidential address, Ms. Priti Agarwal, Postmaster General (Pune Region), urged all officers and employees to harbor a deep sense of pride in their department. She shared valuable insights regarding financial inclusion and the parcel logistics system. Through simple yet effective examples, she elucidated the pivotal role played by the humble postman, thereby boosting the morale of all postal employees. On this occasion, she highlighted that women savings agents associated with the Department of Posts are making significant contributions to the field of financial inclusion. She lauded the work of these women agents, describing their contributions as truly inspiring. Furthermore, she emphasized the immense significance of the Department of Posts’ parcel logistics system for the future. He also highlighted that postal services offer a genuine avenue for serving the public and contributing to their development. Consequently, she urged all employees to perform their respective duties with a spirit of dedication. In conclusion, he congratulated all the award winners and encouraged them to continue doing excellent work.<\/p>\n
Mr. Siddharth Harale proposed the vote of thanks, and the program concluded with the rendition of India’s National Anthem.<\/p>\n
