Pune: Adoption of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), digitisation, data science, and machine learning is essential for the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs and industries in India, said Padma Shri awardee and DICCI founder Milind Kamble on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the inauguration of India\u2019s first ERP Industrial Expo at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre in Pimpri Chinchwad, Kamble said technology-driven industries would play a major role in achieving the vision of a \u201cDeveloped India\u201d by 2047.<\/p>\n
\u201cModern technology can significantly improve industrial productivity and create large-scale employment opportunities. Industries, especially MSMEs, must embrace ERP and AI-led systems to accelerate growth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The three-day exhibition has been organised by Exponomics Events and features participation from more than 100 ERP companies, technology providers, and startups from across the country. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde appreciated the initiative through a video message played during the inaugural ceremony. A guidebook related to the exhibition was also released on the occasion.<\/p>\n
The expo showcases advanced ERP and digital solutions across sectors, including manufacturing, finance, logistics, retail, healthcare, construction, and edtech. Expert sessions, workshops, and live demonstrations have also been organised for industry professionals and entrepreneurs. The exhibition will remain open to visitors free of cost till May 9 from 10 am to 6 pm.<\/p>\n
Kamble said Maharashtra continues to attract nearly 40% of the country\u2019s foreign direct investment, with Pune emerging as a preferred destination for industries due to its favourable industrial policies and ecosystem. India witnessed a major digital transformation during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The industrial sector must now focus on integrating ERP and AI technologies into mainstream operations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Exponomics director Sagar Ahiwale said the exhibition aims to strengthen the concept of \u201cDigital India, Developed India\u201d and support Maharashtra\u2019s emergence as a smart industrial state. \u201cThe expo will provide direction for industrial digital transformation and help enterprises adopt scalable AI and ERP solutions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Sunone Technology director Shraddha Kulkarni said Pune\u2019s evolution into an IT and industrial hub has created opportunities for digital transformation in the surrounding industrial belt. \u201cTechnology adoption will help industries achieve global standards and improve productivity,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Aarti Bhosale-Ahiwale said the exhibition would help industries move from traditional systems towards smart, data-driven, and technology-enabled industrial ecosystems. Milind Hadap added that the event would create opportunities for MSMEs and SMEs to explore partnerships and modern technologies.<\/p>\n
