Notably,\u00a0<strong>three BNCA teams were shortlisted among the top five finalists<\/strong>, presenting their work at the grand finale held on\u00a0<strong>10th April at SPA Bhopal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The competition focused on developing\u00a0<strong>crowd and traffic management strategies<\/strong>\u00a0for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2028 in Ujjain\u2014a mega-event expected to host millions of pilgrims within a compact urban setting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BNCA\u2019s entries stood out for their\u00a0<strong>GIS-based planning and crowd management strategies<\/strong>, featuring\u00a0<strong>hotspot mapping<\/strong>, clear\u00a0<strong>entry\u2013exit systems<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>dedicated emergency corridors<\/strong>, and well-defined\u00a0<strong>ingress\u2013egress flows<\/strong>. The proposals also included\u00a0<strong>timing plans, strategic signage and barrier placement<\/strong>, along with\u00a0<strong>universal accessibility measures<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure safe and inclusive movement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0<strong>winning team comprised Girija Ganorkar, Nupoor Bodhe, Rutuja Billade, Sanika Korade, and Prachi Thorve<\/strong>, whose collaborative effort earned the top honor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teams were guided by Dr. Amruta Garud, Head of the GIS Bhumi Research Lab at BNCA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Principal Dr. Anurag Kashyap highlighted the importance of\u00a0<strong>architects contributing to large-scale crowd management and decision-making processes<\/strong>, especially for mega-events like Simhastha.
