Pune (Voice news service):- Procter & Gamble India (P&G India), makers of brands like Ariel, Tide and Gillette, recognized and awarded the P&G Shiksha Betiyan Scholarship to three girls pursuing STEM courses at the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (IIM Mumbai). P&G India implements this program in partnership with the Centre for Civil Society.
\nThe scholarships were awarded on the sidelines of the 6th edition of the IIM Mumbai Equality Summit, in the presence of V Kumar, CEO \u2013 P&G India, Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Founding Director \u2013 IIM Mumbai, Amit Chandra, CEO \u2013 Centre for Civil Society, among others.
\nThe recognition comes at a significant milestone for P&G Shiksha, which marks over 21 years of impact and the achievement of reaching more than 1 crore children\u2014driving improved learning outcomes for underserved communities across India.
\nA part of the P&G India\u2019s flagship CSR initiative \u2013 P&G Shiksha, the Shiksha Betiyan Scholarship program is a unique initiative that offers financial assistance and mentorship opportunities to girls from underserved communities pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.
\nThis marks the fourth consecutive year of P&G Shiksha awarding the scholarship to girls pursuing higher education at IIM Mumbai, further strengthening pathways for young women to participate in and lead in emerging industrial sectors.
\nOver the years, P&G Shiksha has worked in collaboration with partners and communities to expand access to education and create sustained impact.
\nBy developing long-standing partnerships with organizations working at the grassroots, the initiative continues to enable opportunities that help communities grow and thrive.
