Dr. Sanjay Pathare, Group Executive Officer at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre informed that after her family gave consent for organ donation, her organs were harvested with lungs being sent to another hospital in Pune, one kidney to a hospital in Nashik while the kidney and liver were transplanted at Noble Hospital and Research Centre on 9th February.<\/p>\n
The kidney was transplanted on 35 year old male patient suffering from chronic kidney disease while the liver was transplanted on a 45 year old male suffering from Chronic Liver Disease ,he added<\/p>\n
Dr. Pathare thanked ZTCC for their valuable role in coordination and allocation of organs .<\/p>\n
Her husband, also a farmer, is in critical condition and admitted in the ICU.<\/p>\n
The kidney transplant team included surgeons Dr Shashikant Bhange HoD, Renal Sciences at Noble Hospitals and Research Centre along with Dr Geetanjali Akhade, Anaesthetist and team while the liver transplant included liver transplant surgeons Dr.Bipin Vibhute and Dr.Smita Parakh along with Dr Manish Pathak, Anaesthetist and transplant coordinators Mahesh Tupe and Ashwini kawade.<\/p>\n
