The 220kV&nbsp;<em>m<\/em>-GIS System is designed and built fully in line with POWERGRID\u2019s operational requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system was formally flagged off from TTDI\u2019s manufacturing facility in Telangana, in the presence of Shri Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra (Director \u2013 Projects), Shri Rajil Srivastava (ED \u2013 Asset Management), and Shri Abhay Kumar (CGM-I\/C Engineering).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a compact and highly reliable system used for safe and efficient high-voltage power distribution, especially in space-constrained environments. Recognizing the need for mobility and rapid response, POWERGRID played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and defining the technical contours&nbsp;of a mobile GIS (<em>m<\/em>-GIS) solution. Developed and manufactured by TTDI under POWERGRID\u2019s initiative, the m-GIS offers rapid deployment and enhances grid flexibility, resilience, and disaster-readiness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 220kV&nbsp;<em>m<\/em>-GIS meets POWERGRID\u2019s stringent design, quality, and performance criteria, enables fast grid restoration, temporary power evacuation, and substation augmentation with minimal infrastructure and time. Its modular \u201cConnect\u2013Disconnect\u2013Redeploy\u201d feature ensures operational agility, making it a game-changer for handling emergency and flexible grid needs.
