Ten years later&nbsp;we have not only created a world-class manufacturing skill base but have also contributed to the larger aerospace sector. I am proud of the&nbsp;progress we have made&nbsp;to develop local capacity for high-value manufacturing and skilling in Maharashtra,\u201d said&nbsp;<strong>Amol Nagar, Executive Director, Global Manufacturing Operations &amp; Supply Chain, GE Aerospace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pune facility produces components for CFM\u2019s* LEAP, GEnx, and GE9X engines, which are used in factories worldwide to meet increasing customer demands. The facility\u2019s success is powered by FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace\u2019s proprietary lean operating model, which prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency.&nbsp;By deploying FLIGHT DECK and leveraging over 1,000 recommendations from employees on the shop floor, the facility has reduced waste, enhanced process efficiency, and increased output, all while improving shop-floor safety. On a new model line for a critical component, it has enabled shorter lead times, increased productivity with the same team, and reduced downtime. That line now produces more than twice the number of parts with the help of many improvements made over six quarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cComponents from Pune feed into our global factories where they are&nbsp;used to build CFM\u2019s LEAP, GEnx and GE9X engines.
