According to new research from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn<\/a>, the world&#8217;s largest professional network, 83% of professionals in India and 92% in Pune believe intuition and trusted peers still outweigh Al when making decisions. This comes at a time when 82% of professionals in the city say the pace of decision-making at work has accelerated, and 67% feel mastering Al is essential for their next career move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4 out of 5 professionals in Pune admit mastering AI feels like a second job, but they are hopeful<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rising expectations are unmistakable. 61% of professionals in Pune say they\u2019re overwhelmed by how quickly they\u2019re expected to \u201cget\u201d AI, and 59% admit they aren\u2019t using it to its full potential. Leaders are also raising the bar as 76% of companies in the city expect employees to use AI, and 64% of executives in India plan to factor AI proficiency into performance reviews or hiring. As a result, learning new AI skills now feels like a second job for 82% of Pune\u2019s professionals. Still, a strong majority (78%) are optimistic about AI improving their daily work-life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instincts beat algorithm when the stakes are high<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indian professionals, including those in Pune, are using AI to move faster on everyday tasks, not to outsource judgment. LinkedIn research shows that 75% professionals in India find AI most useful for writing and drafting, not for actual decision-making. When choices get complex, 76% say colleagues and managers help them decide faster and with more confidence, and 83% of executives across India agree good business decisions still depend on human judgment. Reflecting this human pull, LinkedIn saw a 30%+ growth in comments this fiscal year as people leaned on peers for perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/nirajita-banerjee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LinkedIn Career Expert and India Sr. Managing Editor, Nirajita Banerjee<\/a><\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;says<em>&nbsp;\u201cAI is a brilliant copilot, but it\u2019s not a crutch. In moments that matter, people don\u2019t call a tool, they call a person they trust. So, build those meaningful connections, use AI to free up time for the human work only you can do. And when you can\u2019t do it all, lean on your trusted people.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professionals are self-teaching AI for fun, growth, and the future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Despite rising pressure and expectations, nearly nine in 10 (86%) of professionals in Pune say it\u2019s fun to experiment with AI and see it as a chance to test and learn new things every day. Nearly eight in ten (79%) professionals in India are teaching themselves with free resources, 73% are paying for courses out of pocket, and 78% are actively looking for better tools and content to learn.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LinkedIn Career Expert tips on how to grow confidence through your network:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Be open about what you don\u2019t know<\/strong><br>It\u2019s okay not to have all the answers. Reach out to trusted colleagues or mentors and ask specific questions like, \u201cHow did you get comfortable using AI tools in your work?\u201d or \u201cWhat resources helped you learn the most?\u201d Being honest about what you\u2019re still figuring out invites support and practical advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.
