Pune\u00a0<\/strong>– Cattini e Figlio Spa, an Italian firm, is set to establish a manufacturing unit of various machinery products such as gears, shafts, and synchronizers in Pune\u2019s Sanaswadi area with a total investment of 2.5 million euros. The new entity will be called Cattini India.While addressing the media at the inaugural ceremony, director of Cattini India Thomas Mathew said the company will be spread over five acres and provide good economic stability at the local and national levels. \u201cIn the initial phase, we are assuming the company will make a turnover of Rs. 45 crores. In phase 2, the target will be Rs. 250 crores in three years. Either within five or seven years, we aim to reach around Rs. 650 to 700 crores,\u201d said Mathew. He also mentioned that initially, there will be 60 employees with the company as equipment will be imported from Italy, but the number will increase in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairperson of Cattini e Figlio Spa Lorenzo Amedeo said \u201cCattini was established in 1950 to produce small gears for motorcycles and hay elevators, and after four years, it became a corporation. Cattini India is a subsidiary of Cattini e Figlio and a market leader in Europe\u2019s commercial vehicles segment for various types of gears, shafts, and synchronizers\u201d. \u00a0This investment marks Cattini\u2019s foray into the Indian market and is a significant step in the company\u2019s growth strategy to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The facility will bring in advanced technology, investments, and expertise, which will not only generate employment opportunities but also create a manufacturing hub in Pune, commented Cattini India Director Mr. Thomas Mathew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
