{"id":13699,"date":"2024-01-07T02:54:47","date_gmt":"2024-01-06T21:24:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=13699"},"modified":"2024-01-07T02:54:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-06T21:24:48","slug":"hero-motocorps-gurugram-manufacturing-facility-wins-cii-national-award-for-water-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesofpowerandvoice.com\/?p=13699","title":{"rendered":"HERO MOTOCORP\u2019S GURUGRAM MANUFACTURING FACILITY WINS\u00a0CII NATIONAL AWARD FOR WATER MANAGEMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pune (Voice news service):- The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of Hero MotoCorp, situated in Gurugram in Haryana, has been conferred with the\u00a0<strong>CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management<\/strong>, and rated as the<strong>\u00a0\u2018Winner\u2019 in the \u2018Within the Fence\u2019 category.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a recognition of the Company\u2019s innovation and excellence in water management and the positive outcome of the water management initiatives at its Gurugram facility.<s><\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;As an organization, Hero MotoCorp is well on its way to achieving its committed target of being&nbsp;<strong>500%&nbsp;<\/strong>water positive by 2025.&nbsp;Hero MotoCorp \u2013 the world\u2019s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters &#8211; is currently saving close to&nbsp;<strong>3.8 million kiloliters<\/strong>&nbsp;of water every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Company is rapidly moving towards \u2018water stewardship\u2019 by not only reducing water usage and wastage; it is also creating access to water for communities beyond its premises.&nbsp;At Hero MotoCorp, sustainability is a way of life, and&nbsp;this Award is a recognition of everything that the Company is doing to ensure that the future generations remain water secure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Company has adopted an approach that&nbsp;<strong>reduces, recycles, recovers and recharges<\/strong>&nbsp;water through measures like replacing RO filtration with Ultra Filtration (UF), reusing machine RO reject water in cooling towers, increasing the efficiency of DM and R.O plants, and adopting cascading rinsing over continuous rinsing among many other water conservative programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, it is also invested in recycling domestic and process water and built&nbsp;<strong>34<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>recharge shafts within the plant premises.
