Pune (Voice news service):-<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The 22nd edition of the Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) will be held from January 18 to 25,2024. The announcement was made by\u00a0Dr. Jabbar Patel, the director of PIFF in a press conference. More than 140 films from 51 countries will be screened in this festival organised jointly by Pune Film Foundation and Government of Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravi Gupta, Secretary of Pune Film Foundation, Samar Nakhate, Chairman of Film Selection Committee and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of this year’s film festival is ‘Cinema is a hope’ and the symbol of the theme was also released on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

140 Films as part of the festival will be screened on 11 screens at PVR Icon (6 screens) in Pavilion Mall on Senapati Bapat Road, Inox (3 screens) in Camp and Cinepolis cinema (2 screens) at Westend Mall in Aundh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cConsidering the positive response received last year, we have added 2 more screens this year, to accommodate a larger audience,\u201d said Dr Patel. He further added that this year, 1186 films from 68 countries had sent entries to PIFF and more than 140 of them have been selected for the festival <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online registration process for the festival will start from Friday, December 23 on the official website of the festival www.piffindia.com<\/a> and the spot registration process at theatres will start from January 5, 2024. The registration fee for the entire festival is just Rs. 800 for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
