Pune:\u00a0<\/strong>In line with the Government of India\u2019s flagship Jal Jeevan Mission, globally renowned Japanese company\u00a0The HORIBA Group<\/strong>\u00a0is proud to announce the launch of its new product offerings from\u00a0HORIBA Advanced Techno SAS<\/strong>\u00a0post-acquisition of French company Tethys, to provide total solutions for water and wastewater monitoring systems in India. The product launch happened in\u00a0the presence of an array of customers, distributors and Dr. Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer \u2013 HORIBA, Ltd., Japan and President \u2013 HORIBA India Pvt. Ltd. And Dr. Kentaro Nishikata, Jr. Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., Japan and President \u2013 HORIBA Advanced Techno, Japan The event was followed by an insightful panel session on\u00a0\u2018Jal Samvad: Sustainable\u00a0Water Quality Monitoring and Management\u00a0System\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0by the industry experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this acquisition, The HORIBA group aims to be leading the Indian and SAARC market in the field of wastewater monitoring, Industrial effluent monitoring and drinking water systems by providing solutions for UV-VIS, Ion-Selective, Colorimetry and Combustion based NDIR technologies.  Such equipment shall support the continuous monitoring of water quality for various parameters like pH, BOD, COD, TSS, Ammonia, Nitrate, Total organic carbon matter and many more. This acquisition by The HORIBA Group which is encompasses 50 companies with a direct presence in 27 countries adds to its enhanced capabilities\/product lineup for systems to measure water quality. The acquisition strengthens the research and development of analytical systems to measure water quality and enhances solution proposals to the industrial users.  HORIBA has acquired the French company to take advantage of their strength in UV spectroscopy which generates good synergy with HORIBA Advanced Techno, Co., Ltd., which owns the electrochemical and sampling core technologies.  Furthermore, HORIBA Group company has a strong core of nondispersive infrared (NDIR) and combustion technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HORIBA Group operates in the markets of Automotive Emission Testing, Medical Diagnostics, Semiconductors, Scientific Analytical Equipment and Process & Environmental equipment is now aiming to solve the clean water and waste-water quality monitoring issues in rural and urban areas through its new UV Spectroscopy based equipment. <\/em>According to UNICEF<\/a>, India is under the economic burden of approximately USD 600 million a year due to waterborne diseases. Moreover, two-thirds of India\u2019s 718 districts are affected by extreme water depletion. Close to 54 percent of rural women \u2013 as well as some adolescent girls – spend an estimated 35 minutes getting water every day, equivalent to the loss of 27 days\u2019 wages over a year. And, HORIBA Group is aiming to ensure a right to clean water for every child in India, which is aligned with the Indian government\u2019s goals.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
